Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: September 15, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and the Affiliate Program (as defined below) are effective from and after September 15, 2026 (the “Effective Date”).

The Shopmonkey Affiliate Program (“Affiliate Program”) allows those with contacts in the automotive services industry (“Affiliates” or “you”) to earn rewards for finding potential customers for Shopmonkey Products and Services, subject to these Terms;

Paid search

No bidding on Shopmonkey’s trademarks, misspellings, branded keywords, or “brand + coupon” terms; often no use of the brand in ad copy or display URLs.

Coupon/deal sites

No unapproved coupons, misleading “exclusive” offers, browser extensions, or coupon injection at checkout.

Email and SMS

No unsolicited email/texting; usually prior written approval, compliant consent records, and required unsubscribe/opt-out mechanisms.

Domains and social handles

No domains, subdomains, usernames, or pages that imply ownership of or official affiliation with the brand.

Content and claims

No false, unsubstantiated, exaggerated, earnings, price, availability, or comparative claims. Affiliates often must use approved marketing copy for regulated products.

Brand/IP use

Use logos, product images, and trademarks only under a limited, revocable license and in accordance with brand guidelines. No modifying marks or implying endorsement.

Disclosure

Affiliates must clearly disclose their financial relationship near the recommendation or link—not hidden in a footer, profile page, or a vague phrase such as “partnered.” The FTC treats commissions, free products, discounts, and other perks as material connections that may need disclosure.

Prohibited content

No illegal, deceptive, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, infringing, malware-related, or reputationally harmful content. Many programs also ban promotion to minors or in restricted jurisdictions.

Self-referrals

No purchases through your own links, purchases by household members/employees, or compensated/fake referrals.

Incentivized traffic

No cash-back, rewards, giveaways, paid-to-click, forced clicks, cookie stuffing, click farms, bots, or misleading redirects unless expressly authorized.

Tracking and attribution

No altering links, overwriting other affiliates’ cookies, masking traffic sources, or using unauthorized software/extensions. Commission may be denied for returns, cancellations, fraud, duplicate orders, or leads that fail validation.

Data privacy

No collection or sharing of personal data without proper notice, lawful basis/consent where required, security controls, and compliance with applicable privacy and marketing laws.

Commission mechanics

Programs typically reserve the right to change rates, exclude products, impose a cookie window, hold commissions for a validation period, set payout thresholds, and claw back amounts for refunds or fraud.

Audit and termination

Shopmonkey can request evidence of traffic sources and disclosures, suspend commissions, terminate immediately for violations, and withhold unpaid commissions tied to noncompliance or fraud.
